MEETING BETWEEN SIAC REPRESENTATIVES, ADR VIETNAM CHAMBERS, AND DZUNGSRT & ASSOCIATES LLC
On 16 April 2025, a warm meeting took place at the Dzungsrt & Associates LLC office in Ho Chi Minh City between representatives from the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Dzungsrt & Associates LLC, and ADR Vietnam Chambers.
During the meeting, Ms. Swati Jhaveri (Director & Head of Planning, Development & Research of SIAC), Ms. Hoàn Trần Thùy Dương (Deputy Counsel of SIAC’s Secretariat), and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Mai Anh (Deputy Counsel of SIAC’s Secretariat) shared insights about the arbitration dispute resolution market in Singapore and at SIAC. The meeting also included representatives such as Lawyer, Arbitrator Nguyễn Mạnh Dũng (Director of ADR Vietnam Chambers), Lawyer Trần Hà Hân (Partner, Dzungsrt & Associates LLC), Lawyer Vũ Phương Trang (Partner, Dzungsrt & Associates LLC), and Arbitral Assistant Phạm Dương Hoàng Phúc (Assistant Arbitrator, ADR Vietnam Chambers).
The discussion aimed to introduce significant changes in the latest version of the SIAC Arbitration Rules 2025, along with the introduction of the Streamlined Procedure (EP). This new procedure by SIAC is designed to resolve disputes with low value and less complexity, ensuring a fast and effective resolution process for the parties involved. The EP is set out in Article 14 and Appendix 3 of the SIAC Rules 2025.
