On October 18, 2024, the Ministry of Justice held a conference focused on legal training and resolving challenges in commercial arbitration. The event attracted arbitrators, lawyers, and students interested in this field.
In the first session of the conference, Ms. Lai Thi Van Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of International Law at the Ministry of Justice, presented on the topic: "Investment Arbitration - Key Points to Note in Dispute Resolution." She clarified the fundamentals of investment arbitration, highlighting the differences between investment arbitration and commercial arbitration, particularly in terms of content and scope of disputes.
In the second session, Arbitrator Nguyen Manh Dung presented on "Effective Case Management Skills in Arbitration Proceedings" and solutions to overcome challenges in case management under Vietnamese law. He emphasized key management skills and tools necessary for effective case handling, as well as the importance of promoting negotiation and mediation at various stages of disputes, helping lawyers devise the best strategies to protect their clients' interests.
