SUMMARY OF 2024 ACHIEVEMENTS BY ADR VIETNAM CHAMBERS
On January 10, 2024, ADR Vietnam Chambers held an online meeting with arbitrators for 2025 to review its activities and the arbitration market in 2024, as well as to discuss activities and orientations for 2025.
2024 was a year of remarkable success and dynamic activities for ADR Vietnam Chambers and its members, including Arbitrator Nguyễn Mạnh Dũng, Arbitration Assistants Hà Mỹ Linh, Phạm Dương Hoàng Phúc, and Đào Linh Chi. These achievements significantly contributed to the development and promotion of arbitration in Vietnam. Let us reflect on the accomplishments of ADR Vietnam Chambers over the past year here
I. Notable Achievements by ADR Vietnam Chambers Members
- Arbitrator Nguyễn Mạnh Dũng was recognized by Asia Business Law Journal as one of the top 100 lawyers in Vietnam.
- He was reappointed as an arbitrator of the KCAB for a 3-year term from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2027.
- He was recognized as a Litigation Star in the fields of Commercial, Transactions, and International Arbitration by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific 2024.
- Recognized in "Who's Who Legal: Southeast Asia 2024" for Maritime and Arbitration fields.
- Recognized as an Elite Practitioner in Dispute Resolution for 2024 by Asialaw.
II. Dispute Resolution Activities in 2024
- Expedited Procedure Cases (2 cases): Arbitrator Nguyễn Mạnh Dũng served as the sole arbitrator in expedited arbitration procedures under international (SIAC) and domestic arbitration.
- Construction Disputes (5 cases): Appointed as an arbitrator or chairperson of the arbitral tribunal for disputes arising from construction contracts.
- M&A Disputes (3 cases): Resolved disputes regarding share purchase agreements in both domestic and international arbitration.
- Goods Sale Disputes (2 cases): Participated in arbitral tribunals addressing disputes over goods sale contracts under the Commercial Law 2005 and the CISG (United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods).

- Study on combining alternative dispute resolution (ADR) with court litigation.
- Research on arbitration issues such as multiple contracts, consolidation, and joinder under VIAC, ICC, and SIAC arbitration rules.
- Updates on amendments to the UK Arbitration Act 1996.
- Research on arbitration in M&A and expedited arbitration procedures.

V. Introduction of Translated Materials on Arbitration and Mediation
- Translated ICC reports on promoting negotiation and mediation in international arbitration and CIArb professional practice guidelines for using mediation in arbitration.

- Translation of IBA Rules on Evidence in International Arbitration (2020).
